Celebrate National Farmers Market Day: 26 years of impact

Saturday, August 9th| 9 AM-1 PM

Klamath Falls Farmers Market — 100 S 9th St, Downtown

Join us in honoring local farmers and vendors at a special celebration Saturday August 9th , 9 am to 1 pm at Klamath Falls Farmers Market, 100 S 9th St, downtown. Each year, National Farmers Market Week highlights the role farmers markets play in supporting local food systems. For 26 years, the downtown market has influenced how people in our community eat, shop, and connect with farmers and neighbors.

We are kicking off our celebration this Saturday with a special dedication by Mayor Carol Westfall. Shoppers can buy peak-season produce, fresh-baked treats and handcrafted artisan goods from over 50 local vendors. Visit booths to complete your Market Passport and enter drawing to win locally sourced prizes. Enjoy a free horse-drawn carriage ride, play games or make a hands-on craft. Test your farming knowledge or snap a farmer-inspired selfie at our photo booth. Most importantly, thank a farmer or vendor personally for feeding our community.

Local farmer and board member Fernando Rayas shares:

“Buying from a farmers market means supporting a family dedicated to growing food for people in the Basin. Through extreme weather and water shortages, our farmers make sure fresh, local food reaches your table. We keep it here at home.”

A reminder to shoppers - our market proudly accepts SNAP/EBT with up to $20 match to spend on fruits and vegetables.

This event sponsored by Sky Lakes Medical Center and the City of Klamath Falls.
