KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A special Kids Day at the Baldwin Hotel Museum will offer hands-on activities from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. The free event is designed to help young people learn how simple household or office tasks were accomplished a hundred years ago or more. “Our event was planned by young people, and will be staffed by young people, so we hope it’s something kids can connect with,” said Todd Kepple, museum director for Klamath County. “Ella Bocchi, a high school intern who took the lead on this, even made a custom puzzle for the day.” Young people will also be able to take a brief tour aboard the Klamath County Museum’s trolley. The Baldwin building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and became a public museum in 1978. For more information contact the Klamath County Museum at (541) 882-1000.
