The Klamath County Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is hosting a Klamath County Sheriff Candidate Forum on April 24th at Oregon Tech CEET Building Auditorium. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the opportunity to meet the candidates. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. and will conclude at 8 p.m. This forum is free to the public.  

Six of the Sheriff candidates who will be on the May 21st ballot have confirmed their attendance including: 

• Brian Bryson
• Sean V. Ferns
• Ryan Kaber
• Daren Krag
• Peter "Mike" Shepherd
• Billy Stripling

The primary responsibility of the Sheriff's Office is to provide law enforcement protection to the areas all over the county. “We want to give voters an opportunity to meet the candidates, ask their questions, and be ready to make an informed decision when they complete their ballots” said Heather Harter, the Chamber’s Executive Director.
