Modoc Gallery Art Reception

Saturday, July 12, 2025 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

The Klamath County Museum will be showcasing the art and photography of husband-and-wife team Greg and Debbie Beckman during the months of July and August.

The exhibit by the Beckmans – HeArt to HeArt will kick off with a free reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m, Saturday, July 12th. The show will be available for viewing from Wednesday, July 2nd – Saturday, August 30th during the Klamath County Museums open hours.

Greg Beckman first became interested in photography while serving in Vietnam. Even in those difficult times, beauty could be found and photographed. He pursued photography once back home in Wyoming, and then in California. At times as a hobby and at times as a livelihood. At the Klamath Art Gallery, Debbie Beckman first submitted mostly photographs. Through the Gallery and its off-site locations, she was inspired to learn new skills and experiment with different materials and mediums. Her pieces and artwork in this show reveal the awe she feels while immersed in nature. Debbie’s work expresses her curiosity and showcases how different techniques, texture, color and found objects have had an impact in all of her forms of artistic expression. Both Greg and Debbie have found inspiration in their joint photographic excursions to local wildlife refuges and places of beauty, and that awe and inspiration is evident in each piece in the show at the Klamath County Museum.
