It's that time of year again to get your nominations in! Is there a wonderful business that you would like to see recognized for their hard work? We want to see your nominations! Each award has its own nomination form, so please fill out a form for the corresponding award that you have a nominee for.
Deadline for nominations is December 13th, 2024!
Here is a list of our awards to be given at the Gala:
Small Business of the Year
Criteria for Award Nomination:
A locally owned (Klamath Basin) business with fewer than 25 employees that demonstrates excellence in business operations, customer service, and community engagement. The business should operate at a level that inspires others and exhibits vision that goes above and beyond as well as adhere to sound, ethical business practices. It should be successful as evidenced by revenue growth, profitability and sound financial management. Must be in business for more than 3 years.
Nominations will be rated on:
- Providing a great place to work, a commitment to the well-being and professional growth of employees.
- Active participation and positive contributions to the local community, such as charitable initiatives, volunteering, or support for local events
- Known for excellent customer service and quality of products and services.
- Strong leadership and a vision for the future of the business
Nomination form: Small Business
Large Business of the Year
Criteria for Award Nomination:
A locally owned (Klamath Basin) business with 26 or more employees that demonstrates excellence in business operations, customer service, and community engagement. The business should operate at a level that inspires others and exhibits vision that goes above and beyond as well as adhere to sound, ethical business practices. It should be successful as evidenced by revenue growth, profitability and sound financial management. Must be in business for more than 3 years.
Nominations will be rated on:
- Providing a great place to work, a commitment to the well-being and professional growth of employees.
- Active participation and positive contributions to the local community, such as charitable initiatives, volunteering, or support for local events
- Known for excellent customer service and quality of products and services.
- Strong leadership and a vision for the future of the business
Nomination Form: Large Business
Community Impact
Criteria for Award Nomination:
- Innovative Solutions: Are the nonprofits problem-solving approaches original and effective?
- Impact: Has the nonprofit proven positive, measurable changes they've made in the community?
- Community Engagement: Do they involve and empower community members in their work.
- Collaboration: Do they have successful partnerships with other stakeholders to enhance their impact?
- Creativity in Fundraising: Do they have innovative, creative fundraising strategies and campaigns?
Nomination Form: Community Impact
Emerging Business
Criteria for Award Nomination:
This award acknowledges innovative, new businesses in operation for 6 months to less than 3 years, displaying vision, success, and community impact.
Nominations will be rated on:
- Are they growing? Have they demonstrated significant growth in terms of revenue, customer base, and market presence since its establishment.
- Do they support the community? Do they positively contribute to the local community through job creation, community engagement, or philanthropic efforts?
- Have they introduced innovative products, services, or business models that distinguish the business from competitors?
Nomination Form: Emerging Business
Entrepreneur of the Year
Criteria for Award Nomination:
This award will recognize a visionary entrepreneur who has turned an idea into a successful and growing business. A compelling leader who isn’t afraid to take risks to drive their business forward. The recipient has demonstrated business growth through creativity, vision and resilience.
Nominations will be rated on:
- Innovative Vision: The extent to which the entrepreneur's idea is original and innovative, demonstrating a unique approach to solving a problem or meeting a need.
- Business Success: The nominee's track record of turning their idea into a thriving and profitable business, including revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Leadership Skills: The nominee's ability to lead and inspire their team, fostering a culture of creativity and productivity within their organization.
- Risk-Taking: The nominee's willingness to take calculated risks to advance their business, and their ability to navigate and learn from setbacks and challenges.
- Resilience: The nominee's capacity to adapt and persevere in the face of adversity, demonstrating resilience in the pursuit of their business goals.
- Creativity: The degree to which the entrepreneur has introduced creative solutions, products, or services that set their business apart from competitors.

Youth Leadership
Criteria for Award Nomination:
This award will recognize an individual under 18 years of age who has exhibited exceptional leadership, an entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Inspiring Leader
Criteria for Award Nomination:
This award will recognize a leader who actively encourages and perpetuates business innovation, freely shares ideas and opinions regarding business issues and is a catalyst for the future of business. The dedication and commitment this individual have shown to the business community has significantly improved the image, character and business climate in Klamath County

Nomination Form: Inspiring Leader
Lifetime Achievement
Criteria for Award Nomination:
This award will recognize an individual who has demonstrated exceptional business achievement and outstanding commitment to Klamath’s business community over their lifetime. Must be a business leader in Klamath County and have been a member of the Chamber. Must have participated in the Klamath business community for a minimum of 20 years.
